Storytelling in your presentation

Let me tell you a story today.

It was a quiet sunny Monday morning, not too hot, not too cold. It would be a smooth ride, one of those days, you would not mind just driving around the city but then you should show up to work.

You park your car, walk through the bustling car park amidst the chirping birds, swaying trees, whooshing winds. You swipe your Id card, enter the building you work, show up at your work place, put your bag and quietly switch on your PC.

Bang !

The first email in your inbox catches your attention, it is from your manager Ravi, The subject of the email reads

Big presentation coming up

You get excited, you recollect quickly that it is the topic that you spoke to him in your last one-on-one conversations.

You quickly open the email without even noticing where your bag landed on your desk or if your chair was properly placed for you to sit.

Then the final reveal, there it was, it was going to happen.

You get happy but then slowly it starts to sink in, you start getting nervous.

You don’t know if you can do it, you say to yourself - who better than me can present this ? The answer was a resounding no-one.

You finally make up your mind and start putting yourselves and the slides up.

You are now ready at least mentally to go about the seemingly difficult task.
